CEVA express link for CanadaÆs energy sector    CEVA Logistics, a large global supply chain management company, said last week it is offering an express cross-border transportation service for the oil and gas industry between the U.S. Gulf Coast and Alberta, Canada.
   The third-party logistics provider already offers project cargo transport from Mexico to Ontario in its role as a freight forwarder that hires specialized trucking companies to haul more than a half-million kilos per month.
   CEVA, responding to demand from energy customers, created the Alberta Express service by buying and operating its own fleet of flatbed trucks to run the intra-continental route instead of relying on outsourced transportation, an outside representative for the company said. Some of the large equipment to be shipped north will be imports that arrive by vessel at ports such as Houston.
   'We pride ourselves in being able to offer flexible, fully integrated solutions to our customers,' Bruce Hulings, CEVA's vice president, energy services, said in a statement. 'The market has changed drastically over the past two years and by offering this international service for our energy customers that's supported by CEVA's own facilities in the Gulf Coast and Alberta, we can truly become a one-stop solution.'
