CEVA opens facility, wins contract in SE Asia
CEVA Logistics said last week it will relocate to a new 350,000-square-foot distribution center in Bukit Jelutong, Malaysia in early 2009.
The logistics giant just passed its first anniversary of operations in the growing Southeast Asian nation, saying the new facility would allow it to double current business in Malaysia by 2010. CEVA is focusing on contract logistics and freight management in the technology, tires, industrial and retail sectors in Malaysia.
Also in Southeast Asia, CEVA said it has won a contract to manage a nationwide delivery network for dry goods for Carrefour in Thailand. Based out of Bangkok, the network will see a fleet of 35 trucks make 70 to 90 delivery trips per day around the country.
