CEVA opens Jacksonville logistics center

   CEVA has opened its first so-called Center of Logistics Excellence in Jacksonville, Fla., a development designed to increase visibility in the supply chain through use of advanced technology.
   Stating the center is about letting customers “see and touch” the supply chain, CEVA’s Chief Commercial Officer Inna Kuznetsova allowed that this is an innovative development for the company.
   “Customers today want increased agility while lowering supply chain costs,” she said in a statement. “They are looking for ways to enhance control and visibility to optimize their supply chains end-to-end. CEVA’s new Center of Logistics Excellence addresses these needs with a holistic approach and a full range of services and solutions, including access to world- class technology and supply chain management engineering, provided by subject matter experts.”
   At the center, CEVA will offer design and engineering services, transportation and procurement programs and rail-fueling services, among others. CEVA has also designed control towers for better visibility and real-time information; a custom carbon-emissions reporting system called CarbonView; and an e-fulfillment solution.
   The center runs on the CEVA Matrix platform.
   “CEVA Matrix integrates all trading partners in the supply chain and provides automatic sharing of operating data among processes for real-time visibility of inventory, order and shipment status,” CEVA’s Peter Dew said in a statement. “We are excited to be able to leverage the center with customers to illustrate the richness of the CEVA Matrix platform.” – Jon Ross
