CEVA subsidiary SCG names new CFO, operations VP

CEVA subsidiary SCG names new CFO, operations VP    CEVA Logistics' Houston-based subsidiary Select Carrier Group, said Monday that Clay Halla has been named chief financial officer.
   Halla was president of Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Con-Way Truckload.
   In a statement, Halla said his priorities at SCG will include expanding the company’s services, developing its portfolio of customers and 'engineering operational enhancements that will establish SCG as a preeminent service provider.
   SCG also said Monday that 30-year industry veteran David French has been named senior vice president of operations for SCG. French, who joined CEVA in 2000, will be responsible for improving service and margin and growing revenue in the truckload and third-party line-haul product lines. He will also oversee day-to-day functions and processes of the network to ensure best-in-class service throughout the operation.
   Prior to joining CEVA, French held management positions at Roadway Express and FedEx Ground.
