Chamber of Shipping elects AMSEA as member

Chamber of Shipping elects AMSEA as member The Chamber of Shipping of America said Monday that General Dynamics, American Overseas Marine has been unanimously elected to membership in the association.
   AMSEA has been in business since 1984 when they began operation and management of five new-construction ships built by General Dynamics at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy, Mass. Since that time, AMSEA has expanded to include operation and management of a number of Ready Reserve Force vessels for the U.S. Maritime Administration and Fast Sealift Ships for the U.S. Navy. The company operates and manages maritime pre-positioning ships for the U.S. Navy and nine large medium speed roll-on/roll-off vessels.
   CSA is an association of 31 U.S. companies that own, operate or charter vessels in the domestic and international trades or are engaged businesses closely associated with vessels.
