Charming Shoppes reups with GT Nexus

Charming Shoppes reups with GT Nexus       Women's apparel retailer Charming Shoppes has renewed its deal with GT Nexus to provide import management, the Oakland-based trade software company said Tuesday.
      Pennsylvania-based Charming Shoppes is the parent company of Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug and Catherines Plus Sizes, with more than 2,200 stores in 48 states and $2.5 billion in fiscal 2008 annual sales.
      It uses GT Nexus' hosted and managed system for item-level visibility at the bill of lading, container, purchase order, SKU, size, color, or style level; customs document creation; ocean and air freight contracting and spend management; and import performance analytics and reports.
      'We have a great foundation in place which we plan to build out and leverage further across our operation, including expansion of capabilities into automated freight audit and actual landed cost calculation,' said Laurie Everill, director of international trade, logistics and compliance at Charming Shoppes.
