CHINA APPROVES MERCANTILE LOGISTICS OFFICES
The Chinese government has granted Mercantile (China) Logistics Services
Co. Ltd. permission to establish six additional branch offices in China.
Mercantile was granted a first-class license on May 4 to establish an
office in Shanghai, and was approved for the additional offices shortly
afterward. The license allows the logistics subsidiary of Maersk Inc. book
space, stuff/unstuff containers, warehouse and storage, sign and issue
cargo receipts and collect freight and other charges.
