China Shipping leaves China/Middle East loop

   China Shipping has dropped off a service it jointly operated with TS Lines between China and the Middle East, according to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data.
   The service, operated with six ships (five from TS Lines and one from China Shipping), has also undergone rotation changes that will see calls in Nhava Sheva dropped and calls in Shekou added. The revised rotation is Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Shekou, Port Kelang, Jebel Ali, Bandar Abbas, Port Kelang, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. Average vessel capacity on the service is 2,547 TEUs.
   It’s not immediately clear how the sixth ship slot will be filled. China Shipping will deploy the ship on a new service on the same trade called IMX, according to ComPair Data.  — Eric Johnson
