The service is similar to one China Southern started last year in New York at JFK International Airport, in which freight is dropped off and trucked to Chicago for Boeing 747-400 flights to Shanghai and Shenzhen.
In Atlanta, shipments must be dropped off before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The flights leave Chicago every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
