Chinese manufacturer picks Saddle Creek for U.S. logistics

Chinese manufacturing company Nichiha plans to open its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Macon, Ga., by the fourth quarter and has selected Saddle Creek Corp. to manage its warehousing, distribution and transportation, the Lakeland, Fla.-based third-party logistics provider said.

Nichiha's $78 million plant will produce more than 100 million square feet of fiber cement products for the building industry. Saddle Creek said it would store the products in a 100,000-square-foot warehouse.

Saddle Creek is ranked 41st by revenue among domestic logistics companies, according to Transport Topics.
