Choice Logistics names Europe, Asia director

   Choice Logistics, has appointed Rob van Doorn as director for operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific.
   Based in the Netherlands, he will be responsible for daily operations and vendor management for Choice’s partner network.
   “International operations are a primary component of Choice’s mission-critical service parts logistics offering,” said Michael Katz, chief executive officer for Choice Logistics, adding that business is growing rapidly in the regions van Doorn will oversee. “He will bring tremendous value to our clients and partners who are challenged with a myriad of compliance issues and other complexities in these regions.”

   An industry veteran in international supply chain management, Van Doorn most recently served as site director/operations manager for Jabil, a $12.8 billion company with 55 facilities in 22 countries. He previously held management positions with Kuehne + Nagel Group, an international logistics provider, and Computer 2000, a U.K.-based distributor of IT products and services.
   Choice provides service parts logistics services from more than 400 strategic stocking locations around the world.
