The freight forwarder appointed Steve Roper, vice president of sales and operations for the Southwest region, to head the Houston office.
“While we are based in Houston, CII is offering its services throughout the entire Southwest where much of the energy industry is located,” Roper said.
He noted that two of the initial assignments of the just opened CII facility were moving two oil rigs to the nation of Outer Mongolia and a 200-ton extraction machine sent to Dakar, Senegal for a mining company. The forwarder is concentrating on destinations to the Middle East, Australia, Asia and Africa.
CII also has offices in Atlanta and JFK International in New York.
