CKYH Alliance announces new services, port rotations The CKYH Alliance of COSCO, “K” Line, Yang Ming and Hanjin Shipping said it is restructuring of its Asia/Europe routes by rearranging port rotations.
   It also said some vessel sizes will be increased up to 10,000 TEUs. It will also inaugurate two more services.
   The lines said the changes would enable its member to provide customers with more frequent calls in Asia and more vessel space in the growing Asia-to-North Europe trade.
   The alliance will operate eight loops:
   ' Eight COSCO ships of 9,000-10,000 TEUs will operate in this rotation: Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Nansha, Singapore, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
   ' Eight Hanjin ships of 5,500 TEUs will serve Shanghai, Ningbo, Kaohsiung, Port Kelang, Colombo, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Le Havre, Colombo, Port Kelang, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
   ' Eight Hanjin ships of 5,500-6,500 TEUs will serve this rotation: Xingang, Kwangyang, Pusan, Yantian, Singapore, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Singapore, Kaohsiung and Xingang.
   ' Eight COSCO ships of 8,000-10,000 TEUs will serve Dalian, Xingang, Qingdao, Yantian, Hong Kong, Felixstowe, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Nansha and Dalian.
   ' Eight “K” Line and Yang Ming ships with capacities of 7,500-8,000 TEUs will serve Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Kaohsiung, Yantian, Singapore, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Singapore, Kaohsiung and Shanghai.
   ' Eight 'K' Line and Yang Ming 5,500-TEU ships will serve Kobe, Nagoya, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Said, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Le Havre, Port Said, Singapore, Yantian and Kobe.
   ' Four 'K' Line and Yang Ming 4,300-TEU ships will serve Qingdao, Xingang, Shanghai, Shekou, Singapore, Jeddah, Port Said, Thamesport, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Jeddah, Singapore and Qingdao. The ships in this loop will be upgraded to 8,000 TEUs in 2008-2009.
   ' Eight Hanjin and United Arab Shipping Co. ships of 4,000-6,900 TEUs will serve Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jeddah, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Jeddah, Singapore and Qingdao.
