Clarification: Panama/Brazil feeder boosts capacity    Liner carrier MOL said Thursday the average vessel size will increase on a feeder service from Panama to Brazil that it jointly operates with Maersk Line.
Liner carrier MOL said Thursday it will begin to operate independently a feeder service from Panama to Brazil.
   The service, which MOL dubs CX1, has operated jointly with Maersk Line using four ships (three from Maersk and one from MOL), with an average capacity of 1,536 TEUs. From mid-August, MOL will operate the loop with four 1,700-TEU vessels.
   The rotation for the service will remain as Manzanillo (Panama), Macapa, Manaus, Macapa, Vila de Conde and Manzanillo. APL takes slots on the service.
