CMA CGM adds Piraeus to EPIC service

Liner carrier CMA CGM has amended the rotation of a service it operates linking the Indian Subcontinent with northern Europe.

French line's EPIC service has dropped a call in Port Said and added a call at Piraeus on the leg from Europe back to the Subcontinent, the line said Friday.

The revised rotation is Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jeddah, Malta, Tangiers, Southampton, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Piraeus, Khor Fakkan, Jebel Ali, Port Qasim and Nhava Sheva.

'CMA CGM Group will also be able to meet, via Piraeus, the growing demand of its Turkish customers to markets in the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East,' the line said.

American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data said the service operates with eight vessels (seven from CMA CGM and one from OOCL) with an average capacity of 5,536 TEUs. ANL and NYK Line take slots on the service.
