The line will first seek to hike westbound headhaul rates to Europe by $300 per TEU from Sept. 1. The increase is applicable from all origins, including Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh, to all European destinations, including North African, Black Sea and Baltic ports.
On Oct. 1, CMA CGM will raise backhaul eastbound rates to Asia by $200 per container (20- or 40-foot) from Northern European and West Mediterranean ports to all Far East and Southeast Asian ports.
