CMA CGM drops Tilbury call on ECS service

CMA CGM drops Tilbury call on ECS service    CMA CGM will omit a call at the British port of Tilbury on its ECS service between Europe and South America, according to a notice from Hapag-Lloyd, which takes slots on the service.
   The change will occur as of the Dec. 16 sailing on the service, which Hapag-Lloyd calls SW3. The service is operated with six CMA CGM vessels with an average capacity of 2,053 TEUs, according to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data.
   The revised rotation will be Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Kingston, Cartagena, Santo Tomas de Castilla, Puerto Cortes, Puerto Limon, Kingston and Rotterdam.
   Along with Hapag-Lloyd, compatriot carrier Hamburg Sud and Chilean line CSAV takes slots on the service. Hapag-Lloyd and Hamburg Sud, meanwhile, operate another service, the SW1, on which CMA CGM takes slots. That service also connects key ports in Northern Europe with the key regional transshipment hub of Cartagena.
