Ocean carrier CMA CGM of France announced new Freight All Kinds tariffs on multiple trades.
CMA CGM announced the new “Freight All Kinds (FAK)” tariffs from all main Asian ports to all main north African ports for dry cargo effective Sept. 1 with end validity Sept. 14.
The French carrier also announced new FAK tariffs from all main Asian ports to all main Northern European ports and all main Mediterranean ports for all cargo effective Sept. 1 with end validity Sept. 14.
Carriers have been attempting to raise rates but have had very little luck with long term results. Just this past Friday, the Shanghai Shipping Exchange’s Shanghai Containerized Freight Index slipped from a reading of 597.47 a week prior to a reading of 596.38.
