CMA CGM looks at Haiti options
CMA CGM, which calls at Haiti on a fortnightly basis with its ECS from Europe, said that because of damage at Port-au-Prince it is looking at the transporting aid via Rio Haina in the Dominican Republic or via the port of Cap Haitien on Haiti's north coast.
In an internal memo, the company also noted that all bookings to Port-au-Prince are suspended until further notice, and that it has set up a special office at its headquarters in Marseille to coordinate inquiries and logistics.
