CMA CGM names Schapiro replacement

CMA CGM names Schapiro replacement    French liner carrier CMA CGM said Friday it has named Olivier Dubois as its new group chief financial officer.
   Dubois will succeed longtime CMA CGM executive Jean-Yves Schapiro, who the line said earlier this month would be leaving at the end of August 'to take on new challenges outside the shipping industry.'
   Dubois joins the carrier immediately and will work in cooperation with Schapiro over the next month, CMA CGM added. Dubois' background includes stints with Banque Paribas, the SPIE Group, and the Technip Group. He most recently served as executive officer at the French wind energy company Theolia since 2009.
   CMA CGM has over the past year integrated executives from outside the shipping industry to guide its recovery from a rough 2009. That included founder Jacques Saade ceding his position as chief executive to current CEO Philippe Soulie. In addition, the line is busy trying to secure outside equity investment for the first time in its history, with a number of parties reportedly interested in bankrolling the world's third-biggest container line.
