The liner carrier CMA CGM on Wednesday unveiled a host of rate increases it plans to seek between Feb. 1 and March 1.
As of Feb. 1, the increases are:
- United States to the Far East, $75 per 20-foot container and $150 per 40-foot or 40-foot high-cube container.
- Indian Subcontinent to the U.S. East Coast, $320 per 20-foot container, $400 per 40-foot container and $450 per 40-foot high-cube container.
From Feb. 9, the increases are:
- India and Pakistan to Europe, $200 per 20-foot container and $400 per 40-foot container.
- Mediterranean to the east coast of South America, $200 per TEU.
From Feb. 15:
- Northern Europe to the Far East, $200 per container.
- India and the Middle East to East Africa, $200 per TEU.
- Mediterranean to the Far East, $50 per container for waste, plastic, paper, and metal cargo.
From March 1:
- Northern Europe to the Middle East and Red Sea, $100 per TEU.
- Baltic ports to the Far East, Middle East, and Red Sea, $100 per TEU.
- Mediterranean to the Far East, $100 per container.
- West Mediterranean and Adriatic to the Middle East, $50 per container.
- India and the Middle East to Africa, $150 per TEU.
- Asia to the Adriatic, $250 per TEU.
