CMA CGM REOPENS A TOP SPOT FOR JACQUES SAADE
A revised management structure for CMA CGM will reconfirm Jacques Saade as the company’s head.
Subject to a private meeting of family shareholders on Sept. 7, Saade will become president of a new management board, assisted by Farid Salem and Alain Wils, the existing joint managing directors.
A newly created non-executive board will advise the executive president, Saade.
The announcement was made during a naming ceremony for the 6,600-TEU “CMA CGM Berlioz” at the inner port in Marseilles. The vessel is the first of four new CMA CGM-owned “Musician” class ships for the Asia/Europe FAL service. Four similar sized “Author” class vessels are joining them under long-term charter.
