CMA CGM revised Atlantic loop starts Sunday

Liner carrier CMA CGM said Friday it will relaunch its Victory Bridge service between Europe and North America on Sunday, with CSAV as a new operating partner in place of Mediterranean Shipping Co.

The carrier said in June that Chilean carrier CSAV would join at the expense of MSC, while the service rotation has also been scaled back, with calls deleted at several ports — Savannah and New Orleans among them — and a call at Miami added.

The rotation of the revised service is Le Havre, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Charleston, Miami, Veracruz, Altamira, Houston, Miami and Le Havre. The service will operate with five 3,000-TEU vessels, three provided by CMA CGM and two by CSAV.

The previous iteration of the Victory Bridge service with MSC was operated with six 6,700-TEU MSC ships and one 5,700-TEU CMA CGM ship.

CMA CGM added that calls at Savannah and Felixstowe, included in the previous rotation, will now be served through the line's Round The World and Liberty Bridge services, respectively.
