A call to Rio Haina was added to the Cagema Main Liner on the Conrad S voyage departing New York Oct. 26.
Even though CMA CGM stated that “transit time from the U.S. East Coast and South Florida to Trinidad will be improved by four days,” according to schedule analysis and BlueWater Reporting, three vessels averaging 1,118 TEUs continue to sail weekly on a 21-day rotation.
The new port rotation is New York, Savannah, Miami, Kingston, Point Lisas, Port of Spain, Rio Haina and New York.
The carrier said its revisions to the Cagema Main Liner makes it the only line in the market “offering weekly direct connections to Jamaica, Trinidad, Dominican Republic from the U.S. East Coast and South Florida markets in the same rotation.”
CMA CGM also said it revised the Inter Island Feeder service on the Oct. 18 sailing, which departed from Point Lisas, connecting the CMA CGM hubs of Trinidad, French West Indies and Winward Islands.
The port rotation became Point Lisas, Bridgetown, Fort-de-France, Pointe-a-Pitre, St. John’s, Castries, Port-of-Spain and Point Lisas. According to schedule analysis, one vessel with an approximate total capacity of 430 TEUs sails every seven days on a seven-day rotation.
According to BlueWater Reporting, CMA CGM operates vessels and/or purchases slots on 17 other services conducting trade in the Caribbean.
