CMA CGM VESSEL STRIKES REEF NEAR SINGAPORE
CMA CGM said Wednesday its container vessel CMA CGM Normandie had run aground on the Helen Mar reef near Singapore, in Indonesian territorial waters.
“The entire crew is safe and unharmed, and there is no sign of any pollution risk. Action is being taken to refloat the vessel, as well as necessary measures …. to save the cargo on board,” a company statement said.
The 4,688-TEU ship sailed between Asia and Europe on the CMA CGM Group’s NCX service.
