CMA CGMÆs Black Pearl to go weekly
French liner carrier CMA CGM said Friday it is making a U.S. East Coast/Caribbean service weekly by adding a vessel to the loop.
The carrier's Black Pearl service, which has a rotation of New York, Halifax, Kingston, and New York, will from April 30 be operated with two 1,100-TEU vessels instead of one. The service was previously offered every two weeks.
'The upgrade will enable CMA CGM to offer to their North American customers a fixed-day weekly sailing to CMA CGM's dedicated Kingston Hub, allowing seamless relay to/from the Caribbean Islands, Central America and both coasts of South America markets,' the carrier said. 'CMA CGM operates eight main line services through the Kingston Hub.'
