The vessel 'Hyundai Confidence' reported to the Coast Guard at 12:55 a.m. that it was disabled and adrift due to mechanical problems. The ship was caught in heavy rolls about 1,200 miles west of Seattle. Two of the 23 crewmen were injured, the Coast Guard said.
The agency said other vessels in the area also rushed to the scene to assist.
The 'Hyundai Confidence' was on its way from Busan, Korea, to Los Angeles. The Coast Guard is still investigating the cause of the vessel’s engine trouble.
