COAST GUARD TO CONSIDER USE OF LNG TERMINAL AT COVE POINT, MD.

   The U.S. Coast Guard’s Baltimore port captain will hold a public meeting on Aug. 23 to help prepare a letter on the use of the Chesapeake Bay waterway for transport of liquefied hazardous and liquefied natural gases to a terminal at Cove Point, Md.

   The meeting regarding the LHG and LNG operations in the bay will include reviews of vessel transits, shoreside transfer of cargo, and other navigational and environmental issues, the Coast Guard said.
