Coatings company to use Amber Road for export automation

Axalta Coating Systems will use Amber Road’s on-demand tool to automate restricted party screening, licensing determination, and document generation for its growing operations in 130 countries.

   Axalta Coating Systems, a provider of coatings for the automotive and construction industry, has begun using Amber Road’s Export On-Demand solution to automate screening customers against restricted party screening lists, determining licensing requirements, and generating international trade documents.
   Axalta develops, manufactures and sells performance and transportation coatings to more than 120,000 customers in 130 countries. The company is enhancing its IT systems for ERP and other technology solutions to control costs and improve efficiency, the company said.
   The Amber Road solution will be integrated across multiple instances of SAP’s enterprise resource planning system that Axalta uses.
   “As our customer base continues to grow, we needed the ability to address compliance requirements globally and minimize risk without increasing headcount,” said Lisa Ross, director, global trade compliance at Axalta. “We look forward to reducing risk and improving efficiencies as we expand.”
   The software-as-a-service system allows Axalta to screen potential customers against 325 restricted party lists and screen via file uploads to avoid adding headcount.
