COLEMAN NAMED COO OF MERCURY AIR CARGO    Mercury Air Cargo has appointed Mark J. Coleman to chief operating officer, replacing J.R. “Butch” Bouchard, who retired from the firm in September. Bouchard continues to consult for Mercury Air Cargo.
   Prior to the appointment, Coleman served as president of Los Angeles-based Mercury’s subsidiary, RPA Airline Automation Services. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing Mercury’s policies, operations and sales, which includes cargo handling, warehousing, and through Hermes Aviation, represents air carriers as a general sales agent.
   Before joining Mercury, Coleman was senior vice president of marketing and sales for Midway Airlines Corp. He also worked for other airlines, such as Western Pacific Airlines, Trans World Airlines, America West Airlines and Frontier Airlines.
