Colombia terminal picks Tideworks for operating system

   The terminal operating systems (TOS) developer Tideworks Technology has won a contract to supply a TOS to the to-be-developed greenfield Barranquilla Container Terminal in Colombia.
   Barranquilla Container Terminal is a joint venture between terminal operator SSA International and Sociedad Portuaria del Norte (SNP). The new facility will be managed by Santa Marta International Terminal Company (SMITCO) and will initially have annual capacity for 122,000 TEUs. Barranquilla Container Terminal plans to expand the container yard to five hectares and increase capacity to 190,000 TEUs during a second phase of development.
   Tideworks’ Mainsail Terminal Management System, Forecast and Spinnaker Planning Management System will be implemented at the terminal.
