CommerceÆs Mancuso discusses high-tech trade with Israel Mario Mancuso, the U.S. Commerce Department's undersecretary for industry and security, is in Israel this week, Aug. 27-30, to meet with senior government officials and businesses to discuss dual-use export control cooperation, high-tech trade and investment issues.
   'A robust export control and high technology dialogue will help advance the economic and security interests of our two nations,' Mancuso said in a statement.
   The Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security oversees the licensing of dual-use exports, or items with both commercial and military applications.
   While traveling through the cities of Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem, Mancuso will meet with officials from the Israeli Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor; Ministry of Defense; and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
