CommerceÆs Wysong joins Washington law firm
Wendy Wysong, U.S. Commerce Department assistant secretary for export enforcement, will join law firm Clifford Chance's Washington office as a partner, effective the end of the month.
In her Commerce Department role, Wysong helped build the Bureau of Industry and Security's export control enforcement capabilities. She is currently the senior career official handling these issues at the department.
Prior to this, Wysong served 16 years with the U.S. Attorney's Office in the District of Columbia, where she brought more successful prosecutions for the State, Homeland Security, Treasury and Commerce departments than any other assistant U.S. attorney in the country.
