Con-way buys spaces at AllianceTexas

Con-way Freight, a major North American less-than-truckload commercial freight carrier, has purchased 17 acres at AllianceTexas, a 17,000-acre development in Dallas, centered around a global logistics center.

The company will build an 80-door, 40,000-square-foot freight service center on the site, according to Hillwood, the real estate developer for AllianceTexas. According to Con-way officials, the facility will be expandable to 120 doors if needed. The facility will be one of 460 centers Con-way operates in North America and used for the intra- and interstate movement of commercial freight.

Construction is expected to begin this month and be completed in 2007.
