Con-Way Transportation pushes electronic bill of lading

Con-Way Transportation pushes electronic bill of lading    Con-Way Transportation Services Inc. announced a $2 incentive payment for all U.S. and Canadian shippers that submit an electronic bill of lading via the Con-Way Web site.
   The incentive is effective Oct. 1 and runs through March 31. When submitting the electronic bill of lading, the shipper or agent is encouraged to submit an electronic pickup request, which automatically notifies Con-Way of the pickup, eliminating the customer’s need to make a telephone call.
   Con-Way operates a national network of regional less-than-truckload carriers and is a subsidiary of transportation conglomerate CNF Inc.
