Consolidators International adds key positions in L.A., N.Y., Atlanta

Consolidators International adds key positions in L.A., N.Y., Atlanta Air cargo wholesaler Consolidators International Inc. this week announced the addition of new personnel at its Los Angeles headquarters and other company-owned facilities throughout the nation.
   In Los Angeles, Mehri Askari has been appointed chief accountant for CII. Askari joins CII after working in the cargo industry for 25 years, rising to the position of head accountant.
   Greg Melissinos has been appointed vice president, eastern region At CII’s JFK International offices in New York City. Prior to joining CII, Melissinos was gateway manager at GeoLogistics, now known as Agility.
   Also at JFK, Ana Perez has also been named as operations manager for the facility.
   In the firm's Atlanta facility, Ricky Coltey has joined CII as operations manager. Coltey is a nearly 20-year veteran of the air freight industry, specializing in time-sensitive entertainment tours.
   “Revenues increased substantially during 2006 with even greater gains in the first quarter of 2007,” said Peter Lamy, president at CII, in announcing the new personnel. “We are hiring experienced, skilled logistics people to properly service this increased rate of business which is occurring throughout the CII network.'
   CII has reported a doubling of transactions within the last 18 months, and is estimating 20 percent increase in growth for 2007.
