Container lessor Seaco names new CEO

   The container leasing company Seaco on Wednesday appointed Jeremy Matthew to group chief executive officer and Paul Merritt as group chief operating officer.
   The appointments follow the retirement of former CEO Dave Amble. Matthew, the group’s current chief financial officer, will take over as CEO with immediate effect and will be supported by Merritt, currently senior vice president of sales, marketing and products.
   Matthew has 25 years experience in the financial industry, with the last 10 years spent in the equipment leasing market in Europe and Asia. Merritt has 31 years of industry experience with the last 20 years spent at Seaco, which is now owned by the China-based transport conglomerate HNA.
   Seaco owns about 1 million TEUs of equipment in the dry freight, refrigerated, tank and dry freight special container markets, with 22 sales and support offices and a depot network in 112 cities globally. – Eric Johnson
