ContainerPort buys Norfolk Warehouse, Taylor Logistics ContainerPort Group has acquired Norfolk Warehouse Distribution Centers and Taylor Logistics in Norfolk, Va.
   The companies will integrate their operations on Dec. 1, but Norfolk Warehouse and Taylor will continue to operate under their existing names.
   ContainerPort Group, based in Cleveland, Ohio, provides trucking and terminal services such as depot, container yard, equipment maintenance, rail ramp operations to shipping lines, railroads, shippers/receivers, and freight intermediaries. It concentrates on international cargo.
   ContainerPort, which has been in business 37 years, operates facilities and terminals in 13 markets throughout the Midwest, Ohio Valley and East Coast.
   Norfolk Warehouse and Taylor Logistics provide public warehousing, cargo distribution, special handling and customized logistics serving the Port of Norfolk and Mid-Atlantic region for more than 50 years.
   Operations are centered on a 15-acre distribution services campus with 167,000 square feet of warehousing and cargo handling facilities.
