Containership stolen in Namibia

South Africa's Cape Times reported that a containership was stolen last week and reported to have sailed to Angolan waters.

The paper said the vessel 'Michael S', formerly known as 'Umfolozi', had been stolen from Walvis Bay in Namibia, where it had been docked since September after colliding with a South African-registered dredger.

The paper said crew members allegedly boarded the ship under false pretences, held two security guards captive and later dumped them overboard.
