Continental Airlines to start Newark/Cologne flights today

Continental Airlines to start Newark/Cologne flights today    Continental Airlines will today start the only scheduled nonstop service between the United States and Cologne, Germany.
   The first of the daily flights, using a Boeing 757-200 aircraft, will depart Liberty International Airport in Newark at 6:45 p.m., arriving in Cologne at 8:10 a.m. the next day. The return flight will depart Cologne at 10:35 a.m., arriving in Newark at 1:20 p.m.
   During the winter months Continental will scale back the service to five flights per week, reverting to a daily service again in Spring 2007.
   Later this month, Continental will add a daily nonstop service to Barcelona and Copenhagen, bringing to 28 the number of transatlantic destinations served via Newark.
