Continental cargo chief Boisen to retire

Continental cargo chief Boisen to retire Continental Airlines on Monday said Jack Boisen, vice president of cargo, will retire at the end of the month. He will be succeeded by Jim McKeon, senior director of global sales and marketing.
Boisen

The airline said McKeon has significantly grown cargo revenues since joining the company in 2001 by developing a new global account program, creating a development group and expanding the company’s interline marketing brand, GlobalLink.
McKeon held numerous director-level positions in both airline cargo and passenger sales, at Northwest Airlines, where he spent 18 years.
Traffic World reported Boisen’s departure one week ago.
Boisen, a 40-year industry veteran, has played a prominent role as an industry interlocutor with the U.S. government on aviation security issues.
He has served in his current role at Continental since 1994. Prior to joining Continental, Boisen was vice president of operations for Tracor Aviation. Previously, he was vice president of employee relations for Western Airlines, and earlier held the same position for Braniff Airways. He also spent 12 years with TWA in cargo and labor relations positions.
Boisen is also chairman of the Air Cargo Council for the Air Transport Association.
He will continue to represent Continental at The International Air Cargo Association, where he is chairman, and at industry conferences through November, the airline said.
