Continental extending air freight bookings with GF-X

Continental extending air freight bookings with GF-X    Continental Airlines and air cargo electronic booking company GF-X said Wednesday that Continental will extend its use of the GF-X booking system, including use of an express product known as QuickPak.
   Continental was one of the original participants in the booking system, originally known as Global Freight Exchange, starting participation in 2001.
   'We are very pleased with the success we have achieved so far with GF-X, and it forms a critical component of our multiportal e-booking strategy,' said Jack Boisen, Continental's vice president-cargo. 'We believe that by extending our network offering on GF-X we are responding to the needs of our customers by allowing then to take full advantage of booking via GF-X.'
   GF-X participants include a mix of both air carriers and international airfreight forwarding companies.
