Conway opens new terminal in New York

Conway opens new terminal in New York Con-way Freight, the less-than-truckload subsidiary of Con-way Inc. has opened an expanded freight assembly center in Montgomery, N.Y.
   Completed in June, the 67,000-square-foot facility has been expanded from 86 to 149 dock doors, and freight handling capacity has been boosted from 1.6 million pounds to 3.6 million pounds per day. More than 163 trailers and 65 tractors arrive at the center daily.
   It is one of 140 service centers Con-way operates nationally.
   The Montgomery facility operates continuously day and night, with functions including a local pickup and delivery operation during normal business hours, a daytime line-haul operation that moves freight between Montgomery and other cities within 500 miles, and an evening line-haul and freight processing and distribution operation.
