Coote ousted at Manugistics

Coote ousted at Manugistics    Manugistics Group, a Rockville, Md.-based supplier of supply chain management software, fired its president Jeremy Coote, according to a Washington Post report today.
   Coote, who joined the company a year ago after a stint with SAP, was hired to help Manugistics increase sales. However, Manugistics has continued to struggle.
   According to the Post, Manugistics reported that sales fell 21 percent to $51.6 million in its most recent quarter ending in May.
   On July 21, Manugistics appointed Joe Cowan chief executive office. He replaced Gregory J. Owens, who was named board chairman.
   Prior to his appointment, Cowan served as president and CEO of EXE Technologies.
   Some of Manugistics’ clients are AT&T, BMW, Boeing, Coca-Cola Bottling, Continental Airlines, DuPont, John Deere and Unilever.
