The AS Daily news report “Coast Guard bill heads to President” yesterday incorrectly identified Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich., as a member of the House of Representatives. In the Senate, Peters pushed to gain authorization for a new Coast Guard icebreaker for the Great Lakes and was able to insert a provision calling for federal agencies to assess oil spill response in the Great Lakes, especially under heavy ice cover.
