CORRECTION: House rejects effort to delay ELD mandate

Two recent AS Daily stories – “House rejects effort to delay ELD mandate” (Sept. 11) and “New OOIDA-led coalition looks to revive ELD mandate delay” (Sept. 28) – both inaccurately said that a bill introduced by U.S. Rep. Brian Babin, R-Texas, the ELD Extension Act of 2017 (H.R. 3282), was rejected by the U.S. House of Representatives in early September. Although this particular bill was not rejected by the House, an amendment filed by Babin to an unrelated bill that would have delayed the ELD mandate was rejected by the House 173-246.
