Corzine names Levin N.Y.-N.J. Port Authority deputy director

Corzine names Levin N.Y.-N.J. Port Authority deputy director New Jersey Gov. Jon S. Corzine has appointed Susan Bass Levin, his commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs, as the next deputy director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
   Levin served as commissioner of community affairs from January 2002 until the July 2005, when she joined the Corzine for Governor Campaign as chief operating officer. She returned to continue her job as commissioner in January 2006 after his election.
   Prior to her job in state government, Levin served 14 years as mayor of Cherry Hill, one of the largest suburban municipalities in Southern New Jersey.
   Levin will begin service in early July, replacing Jaime Fox, who will leave the position June 7.
