COSCO announces Asia/U.S. peak season surcharge
COSCO Container Lines said Monday it would implement a peak season surcharge for all cargo from the Far East and Indian Subcontinent to United States, effective Sept. 15 through April 30.
The surcharge is $320 per 20-foot box, $400 per 40-foot box, $450 per 40-foot high-cube box, and $506 per 45-foot box.
The company said countries included are Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Mainland China, China Macau, China Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
