COSCO Container Lines said this week it plans to raise rates from Asia to Europe and the east coast of South America in December.
The proposed rate hike from Asia (including the Indian Subcontinent) to Europe (including northern Europe, the Mediterranean and Black Sea) is $225 per TEU, effective Dec. 26.
The planned increase from the Far East to the east coast of South America is $600 per 20-foot container and $1,200 per 40-foot container, including reefers, effective Dec. 15.
