Costco chooses Averitt for Texas logistics
Costco Wholesale Corp. has selected Averitt Express to provide transportation and supply chain management services for Costco’s warehouse club operations in Texas.
Averitt is providing and managing multimodal transportation services with a mix of intermodal equipment, the company said, moving all retail items for the Costco warehouse club stores in Texas. The agreement also calls for Averitt to provide supply chain management services.
Costco said Averitt is able to provide equipment flexibility and meet demand for both dry and refrigerated freight, using customized refrigerated trailers and dry vans to handle Costco’s products.
